Erwin Aljukić is an actor, dancer, speaker and trained fashion journalist.

Born in Ulm in 1977 as the son of Bosnian guest workers, Aljukić has been working as an actor since 1998: in front of the camera he was part of the main cast of the ARD series "Marienhof" for about 13 years, or in the feature film "Wo ist Fred?" or in "Kollegen", a festival entry at the Cannes Film Festival.
He has appeared on stage at the Ulmer Podium or Stadttheater Trier, and from 2018 to 2020 Aljukić was a permanent ensemble member at the Staatstheater Darmstadt.

In 2014, he dedicated himself to contemporary dance, which led him to collaborations and performances with the Axis Dance Company in California or the Candoco Dance Company in London. This also includes engagements with choreographers such as the French Jérôme Bel in "Gala" (Kammerspiele Munich & Kaserne Basel), the Italian Alessandro Schiattarella in "Strano" (Roxy Basel & Tanzhaus Zurich) or the Austrian and Nestroy Prize winner Doris Uhlich in "Every Body Electric" at the Tanzquartier Wien or the Venice Biennale).

In addition to acting, he studied fashion journalism at the Academy of Fashion Design in Munich (subject of his diploma thesis: "Fashion and Islam - between modernity and tradition").

From the beginning of his professional career, he has been involved in numerous campaigns, such as for Aktion Mensch, the Swiss Pro Infirmis or the coming-out campaign #actout- as well as an ambassador, for example for the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency. Due to his own biography, he dedicates his activities to the topic of intersectionality and is committed to increasing the visibility of people from the LGBT community, people with disabilities and/or a migration background.

Aljukić has been a permanent ensemble member of the Münchner Kammerspiele since the 20/21 season.

Since February 2022, Aljukic has been a board member of the Sommerblut art festival.
