What It’s All About
For 25 years, the Sommerblut Culture Festival has stood for radical inclusion and artistic boundary-crossing. The anniversary exhibition “25 Years of the Sommerblut Culture Festival – 25 Years of Solidarity” takes an in-depth look at this unique festival DNA. It showcases the transformation of years of intangible art projects—primarily from the performing arts—into tangible, physical exhibits. It is an exhibition that not only shines but also documents the festival’s origins with complete honesty, including moments of failure and collective growth.
Why you have to come
Here, history isn’t just observed—it’s experienced. The exhibition is designed as a multimedia and participatory experience: accessible entry points as well as offerings in both standard and simplified language facilitate shared dialogue. You’ll meet the Sommerblut team and participating artists—with and without disabilities—both in person and online. Immerse yourself in stories of solidarity and get to know the festival from perspectives that usually remain hidden behind the scenes.
Pssst!
The exhibition goes beyond a mere retrospective and is accompanied by inclusive, educational outreach. It is a vibrant meeting place that brings the spirit of the festival—the community of all—to life.
