What it’s all about

What keeps us hopeful when uncertainty, exhaustion, or a sense of powerlessness dominate our daily lives? HOPE explores this question and presents hope not as naive optimism, but as a conscious, often quiet practice among women and those who are perceived as female or identify as female.
The project is based on audio interviews with people ranging in age from about 15 to 100. From their stories of moments of connection, gestures of resistance, and relationships that sustain, a polyphonic soundscape emerges. It’s about actions that preserve dignity and space—especially in times of social upheaval and uncertainty.

That’s why you need to come

In HOPE, the performers physically translate these personal stories into space and dance. The result is a walk-through “landscape of hope” in which voices, sound, light, and movement intertwine. The audience is invited to move freely and to feel the resonances within their own bodies.
Where do we draw our strength from? Is it closeness, solidarity, attentiveness toward one another, or the decision not to harden our hearts despite everything? The performance makes hope tangible as a fragile yet potent force: as resistance against numbness and as a way to remain capable of action and connected—even when there’s no guarantee of a happy ending.

Pssst!

Behind the project is choreographer MIRA (Julia Riera-Kresser), who combines documentary voices with the language of contemporary dance. Her production makes hope physically palpable and shows how it emerges and connects across generations.
